Team RedBackRacing is a collection of unique and talented people who without there commitment skill and enthusiasm would not make it to the start line.
For this season we have Adam Spence and team principle just about to compete in his 20th Targa type rally. Joining him will be Erin Kelly who brings with her a large amount of Gravel rally experience.
In the second car is Bunj and Lee. Bunj who did a brilliant job in his first Targa Tasmania earlier this year being awarded in his first ever event the Targa Trophy. Along side Bunj is Lee who brings an enormous amount of experience both gravel and Tarmac.
Supporting the team are Matt Dolan, Justin Kearns our trusty mechanics and Andrew Bollom/John Roberts and Annalouise Brown as ever faithful service crew who all the drivers and Navigators value and thank enormously.
Apart from those mentioned here, there are many others who contribute and collaborate, assisting to make the journey to the start line as smooth as possible including our sponsors, families and to all of you THANK YOU.
A special mention and huge thanks to Jarrod Miller who is the driving force behind this web site and the car visual designs.
This season team Redback Racing have set themselves the goal of being competitive within the showroom category of the Australian Targa Championship and with both cars being entered into three rounds of the Australian Targa Championship in our newly designed Renault Meganes we are confident that some solid results will be achieved throughout the championship.

Bunjamin Noor
Bunjamin is an Indonesia businessman who is very much addicted to rallying and Go-kart activities. Bunj is the founder and owner of RISER – JAVA Motors Karting Team in Indonesia and was born into a Rally loving family - from his father and all of his brothers to now his sons and nephews. |
Before taking on the Targa experience Bunj had spent a significant amount of time pursuing his great love of gravel rallying, time rallying and also karting events throughout Asia.
Having been introduced to the world’s largest Tarmac Rally, Targa Tasmania by Adam Spence in 2012, in which he participated in a Mazda MX-5, Bunj became the first Indonesia to finish this legendary event when he triumphantly crossed the finish line in Hobart.
Hooked, Bunj made a promise to Adam that he would be back in 2012 to compete the entire Australian Targa Championship.
Hearing of Adams love of the new Renault Megane, Bunj accepted Adams invitation to join the Redback Racing team and like Adam participate in the Renault Megane RS250 Trophy for the 2012/2013 Australian Rally Championship, which he believes will be one of the fastest cars so far in the Showroom Category.
For the 2012/2013 season Bunj will be joined in the car by Co-Driver Lee Challoner-Miles, a co-driver with significant experience who Bunj believes may indeed help him bring a podium finish home to Indonesia and show-off to his son and nephew who are professional go-kart drivers

Adam Spence
Adam founded Redback Racing in 2010 when he returned from the UK with the desire of entering and competing in Targa Tasmania in a Renault Spider Trophy, a car he fell in love with in Europe. |
Adam is a true Renault fan and on the second attempt and being blessed with the fortune of running in the only dry Targa on record he finished the event and in the process won the category.
Adam has been recently helping Targa Racing introduce newcomers to the sport of Targa Racing as well as competing in one of their Showroom BMW 130is where on the team’s two finishes he ended up on the podium with a third and second.
He is now thrilled to be returning to the cars he loves and believes the Renault Megane RS is a car that will raise the bar in the Showroom category, and is also extremely excited about joining his new co-driver Erin Kelly as well as team mates Bunj and Lee who he also calls his friends.
For this exciting challenge and adventure Adam is happy to have Matt Dolan, Andrew Bollum, John Roberts and Justin Kearns as well as his ever- supportive girlfriend Annalouise come along as service crew.
"I truly can't wait for this adventure to begin"

Lee Challoner-Miles
Lee has been involved with Redback racing for four years, initially working in the service crew. But in 2009 he decided it was time to get back into the car and take up the co-driver’s seat. In his first season he competed in Targa Wrest Point in one of Targa Racing’s MX5s. |
In the following season he was able to compete in Targa Wrest Point and Targa Tasmania finishing the championship third overall with co-driver Adam Dodd. That was a great result considering that they didn’t compete in all the points-scoring events. In 2011 Lee and Adam competed in all three Targa events: High Country, Wrest Point and Tasmania. Although they finished in second place in Wrest Point’s showroom category, in Tasmania they were looking very strong but crashed. However they were able to get the car back on the road but had dropped back too far. Nevertheless they completed the championship in a creditable fourth position.
Having only raced in MX5s whilst living in Australia the move to the new Renault Megane RS will be somewhat different for Lee and his new driver Bunj, but he is certainly up for the challenge and excited at the potential of the new car.
The new Redback Racing Team of Adam and Erin, and Lee and Bunj have known each other for some time. Adam and Lee have worked with each other in both Europe and Australia, and with both now living in Sydney have also been able to work together along with the team’s sponsors to get the cars prepared for the 2012/2013 season.

Erin Kelly
Although new to the team, Erin is a third-generation “rally chick,” following in the footsteps of her mother Cate and grandmother June, as well as her grandfather Bob and several uncles - she has a true rallying pedigree. |
In 2005 her uncle Allan invited her to co-drive on gravel events in Queensland in his newly-acquired Alpine Renault A110 and although the project was ultimately unsuccessful it provided her with valuable experience and a high profile. Rides in the Otago Classic Rally in New Zealand and the Queensland Suncoast Classic and Targa Tasmania events ensued, giving Erin even wider experience in international and tarmac events on top of her now extensive gravel rally experience.
Since then Erin has been in great demand and has had good results in rounds of the Queensland Rally Championship.
Erin is hugely excited to be back in a Renault again, and feels privileged to be part of a strong team.
