The West Coast of Tasmania is notorious for its terrible weather and rains some 300 days a year. As you can appreciate the team in their open top MX5 were hoping for clear skies. Their wishes were answered with the west coast leg being one of the driest on record.
After travelling through stage after stage as more and more vehicles found their way off the road and some with terrible consequences the team were happy to still be on the black stuff and have a car that was still straight.
Entering into the one of the last stages about 5 kilometres into the longest stage of Targa with a total of a massive 47kms the exhaust system developed a hole of some sort. This robbed the car of horse power for the remains of the stage but the team still pushed on to complete the final stage and make it back to Wrest Point for the official finish.
As always a sigh of relief and the team starts preparing for next years event with even more determination to make sure the Spider can make a return with greater reliability and performance.
Stay tuned as throughout the year we keep you updated with the latest developments from Team RedBackRacing.
