The team has been using the holiday season to work frantically to get the car ready. Preparation has started. Firstly two new seats have been mounted into the car, new Fire Extinguisher Devices, New Safety Hans's and a footrest to accommodate the navigator. The Renault Sport Spider has never run a passenger before so fitting everything in has been a struggle.

The second phase of modifications have come with the installation of the rally computer, intercom, new springs and overhauled dampeners for the suspension, the setup of the car has come from much advice from Renault Spider races in the UK and Belgium. The next steps are the removal of the body for the car to be resprayed, the installation of the new lightweight nose cone and bumper and new wheels and tyres as well as a brake overhaul. These cosmetic changes will radically change the appearance of the car and make it one of the most unique tarmac rally cars in Australia if not the world.
